About Work Ready Kāpiti

Work Ready Kāpiti is a Charitable Trust that has been delivering work readiness programmes since 2017. We focus on supporting rangatahi aged 15-24 across the Kāpiti district to develop the skills and confidence they need to successfully transition into the workforce.

We provide a range of practical workforce opportunities and job-skill development. Our core programmes include Work Experience placements (WEX), #EmployerMeets - connecting rangatahi with employers, and our job-skill development programme - the Work Ready Kāpiti Passport. These programmes are free and available to youth across the Kāpiti district. We work closely with local colleges, employers and youth organisations to ensure we reach as many young people as possible, including those outside mainstream education.

Work Ready Kāpiti is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who bring expertise across the education, business, financial, recruitment and community sectors. A small part-time operations team is responsible for the delivery of our programmes.

The Trust is proud to hold Level 4 Social Sector Accreditation.
