Partnering for Impact: Work Ready Kāpiti and the Kāpiti Business Chamber Join Forces

We’re really excited to share that Work Ready Kāpiti and the Kāpiti Business Chamber have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a big step forward in our shared commitment to supporting local young people and businesses.

This partnership brings together the strengths of both organisations. The Chamber offers strong business connections and deep local knowledge. We bring targeted training and real-world preparation for young people. By working together, we can create clearer, more practical pathways into employment that benefit everyone.

"Getting our young people into meaningful, sustainable jobs is fundamental to building thriving communities. This partnership is about local leadership working smarter, not harder. It sends a strong message that Kāpiti’s business community is open, connected and ready to collaborate."

— Ben Jamison, Chair of Kāpiti Business Chamber

We’re aiming to tell a stronger workforce development story for Kāpiti. By aligning our efforts and listening to our community, we can attract the right partnerships, resources and support to make a real difference for rangatahi.

"By aligning our strategies and values, we can attract the right partnerships, funding and support to ensure that no young person is left behind."

— John Scutter, Chair of Work Ready KāpitiOur first steps include setting up a joint working group and creating feedback channels so both employers and young people can help shape what comes next.

We’re proud to be working more closely with the Chamber, and we’ll be sharing more updates as this partnership grows.
