Work Ready Kāpiti is on the hunt for a strategic Development Manager to help strengthen our capability and long-term impact. 

This is a flexible, work-from-home role focused on securing the funding and governance foundations that allow our youth programmes to thrive. You’ll manage our funding pipeline, support the Board with policy and compliance, and stay ahead of research to ensure we are delivering the best for our rangatahi.

If you have experience in grant writing, governance, and a passion for community development, we’d love to hear from you!

Hours: Part-time (15 hours per week)

Rate: $55 per hour

Location: Work from home (Kāpiti based preferred)

Work Ready Kāpiti is looking for a Youth Representative to join our Board! 👥

This voluntary role is a chance to influence the programmes and opportunities we create to help rangatahi build skills and connect with real-world experiences across Kāpiti. 📣

- Role for those aged 16 to 24 living, studying, or working in Kāpiti.
- No previous Board experience needed—we’ll support you as you learn.
- Monthly Board meetings (2 hour commitment) plus involvement in four youth events a year.
- Gain leadership experience, mentoring, and a valuable addition to your CV.
- Role is voluntary, but mileage to and from board meetings and any additional expenses are paid by us!

Volunteer at the 2026 Ōtaki Kite Festival! 🪁

The Ōtaki Kite Festival is looking for volunteers for its upcoming event on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2025! Whether you'd enjoy beach marshalling, selling kites or helping kids enjoy a run through the kite train - come join the team for what is an awesome weekend full of a whole lot of fun.

A roster of helpers is needed for the weekend in two hour shifts, with plenty of time slots available:
- 10am til 12pm
- 12pm til 2pm
- 2pm til 4pm

In addition, there are set-up jobs on Friday and set-up/pack-up jobs on Saturday & Sunday – something for everyone! Even an hour or two of your time is a huge help.
